Q: Is my store required to maintain ground beef production records?
A: Yes, if you operate an Official Establishment or Retail Store That Grinds Raw Beef Products. Read the Federal Regulations and USDA Rule here.

Q: What is required to use the service?
A: You will need an Android device (running Android 6.0 or higher) with a camera (flash recommended) and with internet access through wifi or mobile data.

Q: Do I have to get a mobile phone data plan?
A: No, you can use the app with wifi, without a mobile data plan.

Q: Is training required to use the service?
A: The app and website are easy to use. You can watch an instructional video that will get you up and running in less than 5 minutes.

Q: Can anyone else see my data?
A: No, your data is private and requires your login credentials to access.

Q: Can I view and download my data?
A: Yes, just go to the Control Panel on this website or Cloud Data in the app menu. Viewing and downloading data instructions begin at 2:47 in the video below.

Q: I don’t have an Android phone, how much does it cost?
A: A quality device with a case and screen protector costs around one hundred-fifty dollars, there are even $40 Android devices that have performed well in testing.

Q: Can several people use one subscription.
A: Yes, that is a great way to use the app. But, each store must have its own subscription.

Q: How do I scan a barcode?
A: Press the Scan button on the app and get close enough to the GS-128 barcode that it almost fills the view. The phone will read the barcode, beep and display the 'Contents' screen. Instructions for scanning a barcode begins at 1:51 in the video below.

Q: How do I pay?
A: On the Account page of this website, click on Buy Subscription. If you pay by check, please include your account code on your check.

Q: What is the Referral Program?
A: Current subscribers can receive up to one year of free services for recommending YemData to new users. New, paid, subscribers are asked who referred them to YemData.
